Senior Engineer – Technical Writer

Location: Pune / Gurgaon

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer – Technical Writer to join our engineering documentation team. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with a strong background in technical writing, particularly in product or software documentation, and a passion for precision and clarity in communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation for products and software.

• Translate complex technical data into clear, concise, and user-friendly documents.

• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product managers to gather technical information.

• Author reusable content using XML/DITA within a structured content management system (CMS).

• Manage complex documentation projects with shifting priorities.

• Utilize tools such as Astoria CMS, Oxygen, InDesign, Windchill, MS Project Online, and MS Teams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automobile, or Production Engineering from a reputed college/university.

• Minimum 8 years of experience in technical writing for product and/or software documentation.

• At least 2 years’ experience in plumbing product installation, design, or documentation preferred (related manufacturing field experience accepted).

• Strong mechanical aptitude, diagnostic skills, and ability to read technical drawings.

• Proficiency in Mandarin (B2 level) is a plus

• Experience working with structured content tools such as Astoria CMS and Oxygen

Salary Range

• Pune: Upto ₹5.9 Lakhs to ₹25 Lakhs per annum, with an average salary of approximately ₹11.5 Lakhs per year.

• Gurgaon: Upto ₹5.3 Lakhs to ₹20.6 Lakhs per annum, with an average salary of approximately ₹12 Lakhs per year.
