Position Overview: Procurement Business Partner / Purchase Engineer (Buyer)
Hitachi Energy India Limited is hiring a Procurement Business Partner (Experienced Professional) for its Transformers Business Unit based in Savli, Gujarat. This role is ideal for professionals with strong procurement experience in the manufacturing industry who are interested in contributing to sustainable energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Manage procurement processes and coordinate with production, finance, engineering, and operations teams.

Independently handle import and domestic procurement activities.

Prepare and issue purchase orders to ensure timely material availability for manufacturing and projects.

Track orders to ensure on-time delivery and maintain project timelines.

Manage vendor relationships and monitor supplier performance based on quality and delivery.

Coordinate with the quality team to evaluate and resolve issues with purchased items.

Analyze data to identify risks and develop appropriate control strategies.

Ensure adherence to internal policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
Candidate Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

5–7 years of procurement experience in a manufacturing environment

Strong knowledge of SAP S4 HANA – MM and PP modules
-
Understanding of GST, VAT, customs clearance, and other relevant taxation

Experience in cost control, cost-saving strategies, and inventory management
-
Familiarity with lean manufacturing, KANBAN, and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI)

Good communication skills in English (written and verbal)

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a dynamic business environment
